Returns to form, beautiful, and this time properly Burgundy-like in its bearing. A little natty but contained - horse sweat and smelly bitter red berries on the nose, dried cherry, aromatic herbs, night flowers, compote underneath. Juicy, with that delicate detail Austrian Pinot rarely lands as cleanly. Not the deepest, not the most complex, but every sip wants the next.
Wow, didn't expect it to be this great. So freaking beautiful; a bit natty but not too much - some horse sweat, smelly bitter red berries - but underneath there's dried cherry, aromatic herbs, night flowers, compote. And just so juicy, I'm in love. Maybe not the most complex wine, not the deepest one, but hell of a juice.
