A page for what's new
Site
This page: what changed on the site, in the app and in the command line, the latest first, with a filter for each. Changes to the app and the command line are marked beta while they are in a closed beta.
A note says where, and with whom, to whoever was there
Command line, betaAPI, beta
Through the command line, a note now says where the wine was tasted, at which event and with whom, on the notes of tastings you were at: your own, a note that names you, and a note from an event you took part in.
Every member writes tasting notes
SiteApp, betaAPI, beta
Writing notes used to come with the Contributor or Patron tier. Now every registered member writes them: on a wine's page, as drafts, at a live event (where your score starts a draft), in the app and through the API. The cellar and adding to the catalogue stay a contributor's.
The command line installs with Homebrew
Command line, beta
brew install barberry-io/tap/barberryinstalls the Barberry command line on a Mac or on Linux. It searches the catalog, reads your notes and Barberry's, and exports them for an assistant. The guide says how to start.Keep your books in your own currency
SiteAPI, beta
Your account page has a Currency section: the currency your books are kept in, hryvnias until you pick another. The envelope adds up in it, and a new event is priced in its host's currency from the start. Events made before keep theirs, and what anyone owes you stays in the currency it was agreed in.
A blind pour stays hidden everywhere until it is revealed
Site
Profiles, feeds, a wine's page, the catalogue and the home page no longer name the wine of a blind pour before the host reveals it or the event's scores are final.
A note names only a bottle from your own cellar
SiteAPI, betaCommand line, beta
A tasting note now names only a bottle from its author's own cellar: at an event, the host's bottle stays with the event instead of going on the guests' notes. If you brought a bottle to someone else's event, blind or not, you can link it to your note afterwards: edit the note on the wine's page once the pour is revealed, and the bottle is marked drunk on the event's day.
A balance in two currencies shows as two
Site
Your ledger keeps currencies apart: owing a host 50 euros and 300 hryvnias shows as two balances, each with its own rows. A top-up clears the hryvnia balance, and its receipt says so.
What you owe for a wine run is on your ledger
Site
When someone buys wine for you on a wine run, what you owe them now shows on your ledger page, one block per person, with the runs it comes from. It stays apart from your Barberry Garden balance: you settle it with them directly.
Every patron hears about a patrons-only event
Site
The message about a newly opened patrons-only event now reaches everyone who may sign up, including members who pay by subscription, not only holders of the old supporter flag.
"You were there" marks your events again
Site
The "You were there" mark on the home page and the posts list shows again on the reports of every event you went to, including the ones run on the site.
See who you drank with on your own notes
Site
A note you wrote outside an event now shows the people you tasted with on the wine's page, without opening the edit form.
A note from an event links to its report
Site
On a wine's page, a note written at an event links to the event's report for everyone who was there, even when the report is open only to its participants.
"Did you drink it with ...?" when you write a note
Site
When another member's note of the same wine on the same day lists you, the note form offers their table: one tap copies the place and the company into your note. Their score and words never come along.
A wine added from a snap keeps every photo
App, beta
Adding a new wine from a snap in the app keeps all its photos as the wine's pictures, in the order they were shot, with the front label as the cover. The back label is no longer lost.
Finding a producer however the label spells it
App, beta
When you add a wine in the app, the producer search now finds a house whose label writes its name another way, such as "Champagne Jacques Selosse" for "J. Selosse", instead of offering only a new producer.

Grapes in a blend keep their order
Site
A wine's grapes show in the order of the blend, the leading grape first. When you add or edit a wine you can reorder them.

Snap a whole haul, review it later
Site
Bulk intake lets you snap every bottle of a big purchase and its receipt, submit, and walk away. The bottles are identified in the background, Telegram tells you when the batch is ready, and one review screen adds them all to your cellar.
