It's been a long time since I last had this, and I used to be more critical. Sure, it's not complex or deep, but it's a fun, drinkable, slightly orange and very aromatic natural wine from a field blend. Nothing wild, though there's a bit of cider-meets-IPA character, with flowers, fruit, and just a hint of funk. Feels like the sky before rain - heavy with heat but not yet broken. The kind of thing to drink on a summer terrace without overthinking it.
Ok, it's time for some confessions. I was already drunk. So I tasted this wine from a regular glass and then went drinking it from a coffee paper cup. Proper drinkware for table wine. Aromatic bouquet of stone fruits, flowers and some honey. Flabby palate but with good volume.
Tasted on the go, so little time to properly asset it. Completely different from my previous experience. An aromatic tropical shampoo with honey extract and flowers. Flabby and bitter in the finish.
When you have little to say about wine, you start sharing information from the label, e.g. grapes, location, etc. But this is completely passable wine, so I will be short: apple, lychee, citrus and lilac flowers. Unfocused, typical.
