Mountain Nebbiolo doing its quietest, most graceful work. The fruit is red and floral up front, then a dark-tea register pulls through the middle - that signature steeped-leaf finish Carema does better than anyone else. Acidity bright, tannins dry but composed. Lighter than Langhe but with the same DNA, the same insistence on patience. Pour and forget about it - it earns the table without ever asking for attention.
Alpine Nebbiolo at its most graceful - red fruits, flowers, dark tea, earth, spices. Good acidity, dry tannins, beautifully balanced with that signature tea-like finish. Mountain elegance rather than Langhe muscle. Still singing.
Alpine Nebbiolo at its most graceful — red fruits, flowers, dark tea, earth, spices. Good acidity, dry tannins, beautifully balanced with that signature tea-like finish. Mountain elegance rather than Langhe muscle. Still drinking beautifully. Could age for years, but why wait when it’s singing like this now?
Same as before, and in very good shape. Alpine Nebbiolo at its most graceful - red fruits, flowers, dark tea, earth, spices. Good acidity, dry tannins, beautifully balanced with lovely fruit and a tea-like finish. Elegant rather than imposing. Still drinking beautifully.
Didn't plan on opening anything, but wanted something easy and unpretentious to chill with. Got exactly that. Tight at first, needed a good while to open up. Red fruits, flowers, dark tea, earth, spices. Good acidity, dry tannins, but beautifully balanced - lovely fruit on the palate, mellow, with a beautiful tea-like finish. Delicious.
Alpine Nebbiolo from heroic terraced vineyards at the Valle d'Aosta border - a completely different beast from Barolo's power. Right now this is lovely to drink, still tight but delicious. Classic red fruits, flowers, dark tea, earth, and spices - all the Nebbiolo signatures but with mountain elegance rather than Langhe muscle. Good acidity, dry tannins, but the wine is beautifully balanced with lovely fruit in the mouth. Graceful instead of imposing. Could age for years, but why wait when it's drinking this well now? Ah, there is a good reason!
