This is the Carema Classico (Etichetta Nera, the black-label bottling) from the Cantina Produttori Nebbiolo di Carema cooperative, made entirely from Nebbiolo, known locally as Picotendro, grown on the steep terraced pergola vineyards of the Carema commune in Alto Piemonte on the border with the Aosta Valley. It is the cooperative's standard Carema DOC expression, distinct from the longer-aged Etichetta Bianca Riserva, with the Classico tier carrying a minimum of two years of ageing including at least twelve months in large oak or chestnut botti. The 2020 was bottled at 13% alcohol, and its back label states the wine is released after at least three years of ageing (dopo almeno tre anni di invecchiamento). It was imported to Ukraine by WineWine.
