Alvarinho Contacto

Contacto is a collaboration between two Portuguese names: Anselmo Mendes, the man who did more than most to put Monção e Melgaço Alvarinho on the map, and the Symington family, the Douro's port dynasty, joining him over a shared love of the grape. The name is literal - it's made with skin contact, the grape skins left on the must the way things were done before stainless steel, ancestral method dressed in modern technology.
