Single-vineyard old-vine Alvarinho from the Paço plot at Quinta da Torre in Monção - 4.8 ha at around 75m elevation with northern exposure, sandy granite-derived soils with some clay and silt, vines around 25 years old. Hand-harvested into small boxes with strict bunch selection, destemmed, gently whole-bunch pressed, then settled cold before fermenting and ageing nine months in new 400L French oak with bâtonnage on the full lees, then about a year in bottle before release. The oak is woven in for texture rather than flavour, in the austere, mineral register the parcel is known for. The 2021 came in at 12.5% with around 8,000 bottles made (per the producer).
