Papà... Magnum

Papà is the Sîrbu brothers' bottle for their father, a memorial bottling. It is a Cabernet Sauvignon from old vines, and the vineyard it came from no longer exists: the vines were pulled out after the 2021 harvest. They had been planted too far apart, so the roots spread through the topsoil and never went deep.

Somma's own description is short: an elegant, intense red, aged in oak barrels.

This is the magnum format of the standard bottle, even though the label still reads 750 ml.
