Domaine de Saint Pierre is a small Jura estate based in Mathenay, near Arbois, run by Fabrice Dodane. Dodane trained in Beaune and worked at the Pupillin cooperative before joining the estate as manager and winemaker in 1989, taking full ownership in 2011 after the death of founder Philippe Moyne, a former lawyer who established the domaine in the early 1980s. The estate covers roughly 7.5 hectares across Mathenay, Vadans, Arbois, and Pupillin, planted to Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir on limestone and grey marl. Farming converted to organic in 2002 (Ecocert 2008) and to biodynamic practice from 2012, when Dodane also pared back sulfur to near-zero and pushed toward native-yeast fermentation in neutral wood. The house style is precise rather than oxidative - whites are largely ouillé, with sous-voile reserved for specific cuvées - and the bottlings reference single parcels around Arbois.
