Barbaresco Rio Sordo

We tasted Rio Sordo and Tre Stelle blindly, and it was quite easy to guess the wines because Rio Sordo feels more masculine and Tre Stelle more feminine. Unfortunately, both bottles were not in ideal condition, which was a real bummer.

Rio Sordo started a bit natty. Thankfully, we didn't rush and had the whole evening to enjoy its development, and at some point, it just got better. Notes of tobacco mixed with black fruits, earth, crushed stone, sweet syrup, mushrooms, and VA. But like the 2017, it's punchy and a bit rough. An interesting bottle, but nothing close to the 2017 experience.
