Tasted blind, and a lovely thing to puzzle over. Cranberry, red flowers, sour cherry and cornelian cherry, perfumed in that elegant way, with dried flowers, soft spice, a thread of cinnamon and liquorice, and oak so well integrated you barely register it. Young and tight - baby-wine tension, firm tannin, a slightly strange smoky, hibiscus-tea edge on the finish - but underneath there is juicy, beautiful fruit that keeps pulling you back for another glass. Baga, as it turned out, showing real class and complexity well above its age.
Love this wine - it keeps delivering. That same perfumed elegance: red and black fruits, dried flowers, spices, a thread of cinnamon and liquorice. The oak so well integrated you barely register it. Tight on the palate - baby wine - but the fruit underneath is juicy and beautiful, and you reach for another glass without thinking. Baga showing class and complexity well above its age.
Love this wine - always delivers. Perfumed in that elegant way: red and black fruits mingling, dried flowers, spices, cinnamon, liquorice. The oak is so well integrated you barely notice it. Still tight - baby wine tension - but underneath there's juicy, beautiful fruit that makes you reach for another glass without thinking. Baga showing class and complexity despite its youth.
Better warmer than cold - this wine needs to stretch out a bit. Perfumed in that elegant way, red and black fruits mingling with dried flowers, spices, cinnamon, and liquorice. The oak's so well integrated you barely notice it's there. Yes, it's tight, but there's beautiful, juicy fruit underneath all that tension - fresh and delicious, the kind that makes you reach for another glass without thinking about it.
Perfumed in that elegant way - red and black fruits mingling in the nose, dried flowers, spices, touch of cinnamon with liquorice. The oak's so well integrated you barely notice it's there. Yes, it's tight and locked up on the palate - baby wine syndrome - but fuck me, it's juicy and delicious underneath all that tension. Beautiful fruit that makes you reach for another glass. This is Baga showing class and complexity despite its youth.
Highly perfumed and immediately charming - raspberry, blackberry, candied flowers, and soft spice swirl together with a surprising touch of cinnamon and liquorice. On the palate, it's juicy and vibrant, bursting with fresh fruit, though the tannins still feel a bit green and eager. But that youthful energy works in its favour - it's fresh, delicious, and calls to mind a Cinsault from Sadie Family. A joyful, expressive take on Baga.
