Pomelo, pear, a touch of walnut and even cornichon - all wrapped in a strong chalky presence that gives this wine its poise. It's light but not thin, with a smooth, almost creamy texture and a gentle salinity that adds depth. Nutty notes and a soft hint of honey round things out without weighing it down. Elegantly made, calm and composed - a quiet beauty.

Filipa Pato is a winegrower and winemaker from Bairrada, Portugal. She focuses on local grapes only (Baga, Bical, Arinto, Cercial and Maria Gomes) and produces wines with minimal intervention. No make-up, as she says.
