Domaine Jean Grivot owns 0.85 hectares in Aux Boudots, at the very northern edge of Nuits-Saint-Georges - the Zone Vosnoise, just over the commune line from Vosne-Romanée's Aux Malconsorts, below Les Damodes. Limestone-rich gravel and clay-limestone soils; geologically and stylistically closer to Vosne than to the burlier southern NSG climats. House protocol, around eighteen months in oak with 35-40% new wood (Mathilde-era level). 2019: low yields from small concentrated berries after heat spikes above 40°C and a cooler/wet August; reds are richly concentrated but keep acids fresh, with extra spice and dark fruit balanced - avoiding the volatility risk of 2018.
