Grivot's Richebourg is a single 0.31-hectare block planted in 1949 (the family purchased the parcel in 1984), in the central-southern upper-slope band between Thibault Liger-Belair and Mongeard-Mugneret. Thin, well-drained, stony soils on brown limestone (calcaire à entroques) over Bajocian/Bathonian bedrock. House protocol with meticulous medium-toast barrel selection, around eighteen months in oak with around 50% new wood (Mathilde-era ceiling for Grand Cru). Tiny production. 2019's heat-spike vintage with low yields concentrated the wine; Vosne Grand Crus from deeper-limestone old-vine sites were the chief beneficiaries of the year's stress, expected to be powerful yet structured for long aging.
