Initially, the wine undergoes a brief brett attack. However, this quickly fades, unveiling more appealing notes of berry Kissel and rhubarb. The wine isn't complex, but it possesses a somewhat charming and easy-going quality. Unfortunately, like other wines by Rennersistas I've encountered, this one too has a distinct bitter character that detracts from the overall enjoyment. The bitterness is quite pronounced, and for my palate, it's a bit too much, overshadowing the otherwise pleasant aspects of the wine.
