Heavier than the Cab Sauv - 14.1% vs 13.4%. Saturated, very fruity, red and black mixed. Tannin is hard and dense, but the acidity holds up so the wine doesn't go thick. Intense without being overbearing.
About
Petropol's varietal Merlot, around 14.1% ABV - the heavier counterpart to their Cabernet Sauvignon from the same vintage. Saturated, fruit-forward, mixed red and black-fruit register. Tannin is firmer than the variety often gives elsewhere; the Bessarabian heat and dry winds tend to push structure on Merlot.
