Petropol is a young Ukrainian winery, founded 2019, based on the Bessarabian steppe in southern Odesa Oblast. Family-run on loamy and shell-limestone (rakushnyak) soils typical of the region - hot sunny climate, dry winds, the same coastal-steppe landscape that produced viticulture across the Black Sea basin for centuries.
The lineup is a working catalogue of vinifera varieties planted in Ukraine: international whites (Chardonnay, Aligoté, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Pinot Gris) and Bordeaux/Mediterranean reds (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo, Grenache, Pinot Noir), often blended into multi-grape cuvées. Two recurring formats: 'Sextet' for six-variety field blends (whites and reds), and named reserves like Larysa for the structured oak-aged tier.
Distribution in Ukraine runs through the Wine Wine retail network (Bayadera Group). The producer's web presence is mostly Instagram (@petropol.winery) and Vivino - typical of Ukraine's craft-winery scene, where Telegram and direct-to-shop channels matter more than the international trade press.
