3.9The nose is lovely - good fruit that leans Nordic (lingonberry, cranberry territory) but with riper notes keeping it grounded. Touch of pepper. And the palate delivers: rounded, nicely acidic, mineral, and genuinely enjoyable. Not complex, but the balance is just right. Sometimes that's enough.
About
60% Merlot, 40% Welschriesling. Same vineyard as White Lite. Merlot: 2 weeks skin maceration in open casks, indigenous yeast fermentation, aged 10 months in old 225L oak. Welschriesling: 1 day skin contact, fermented 3 weeks in stainless steel, aged in 500L oak. Blended and gravity bottled without fining, filtration, or SO₂.
