Run by Zsolt Suto ("Zsolti") from the village of Strekov on the Slovakia-Hungary border near the Danube. The winery name comes from the village's first written mention in 1075. He farms 12 hectares of certified organic vineyards (Naturalis SK) on clay-loam over marine sediments with sandstone and limestone veins, producing around 30,000 bottles annually.
Grape varieties include Gruner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Blaufrankisch, St. Laurent, and local crosses like Dunaj, Alibernet, and Devin. Winemaking is minimal-intervention: open vats, aged oak barrels, spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, extended skin contact. Suto stopped adding sulfur entirely in 2017. All wines are unfined and unfiltered. Key wines include Fred (an accessible everyday red blend), Frankovka (structured Blaufrankisch), Porta (savory orange wine aged under flor), and several pet-nats. Suto employs many village residents, especially during harvest, and describes the search for truth as his driving motivation.
