The estate publishes no wine pages or tech sheets, so the cellar detail comes from German merchant sheets (Lobenberg, Weinzentrale, grosse-lage.de): 100% Spätburgunder, spontaneously fermented and raised in used barriques. The VDP member page lists the estate at 35.3 ha, 70% Spätburgunder, currently in organic conversion and Fair Choice certified for sustainability. This bottling was filled on 12 July 2023 (the importer sticker's production date, consistent with the 2023 A.P. number on the back label), about 21 months after harvest; no source explains the timing, though wein.plus describes long storage on the fine lees as the house rule. 2021 was a hard year in Baden. The VDP's harvest review records local late frosts after budbreak, a wet spring and summer that kept crews busy in the canopy, cooler summer nights that slowed ripening and pushed the harvest slightly later than in recent years, and a crop of roughly 40-60% of the previous years, with the young wines described there as fresh, precise and clearly defined. 12.5% on the label.
