The TerraLuna Rosso 2020 from Podere Pian di Meta Vecchia - 100% Sangiovese in purezza, unfiltered, bottled IGT Toscana. The estate sits in Castiglione d'Orcia in the Val d'Orcia of southern Tuscany - not Montalcino, though the two communes share a stretch of border. 13.5% ABV. 2020 in Val d'Orcia was a solid year - warm days with good thermal excursion and decent acidity, sometimes overshadowed by 2019 and 2021 but capable of elegant, age-worthy wines. Aged in stainless and larger wood. Tiny production from a sub-half-hectare vineyard.
