Ratings
Finely wrought and polished - this is Baga with a darker register. The nose is perfumed yet brooding: black berries, violets, cedar, a touch of tobacco. On the palate, it's juicy and flavourful, with firm tannins that feel structured rather than raw. Nothing harsh here - the edges are rounded, the fruit savoury and deep. Elegant without being shy, and full of quiet intensity.
About Producer
Filipa Pato is a winegrower and winemaker from Bairrada, Portugal. She focuses on local grapes only (Baga, Bical, Arinto, Cercial and Maria Gomes) and produces wines with minimal intervention. No make-up, as she says.
