Same notes as last time - that Burgundian transparency, volcanic minerality, old-vine Negramoll, delicate and gentle. Brought it after the blind tasting to trick people. Some thought it was Burlotto - Nebbiolo. A compliment to the wine's elegance, and proof that volcanic Tenerife can fool even experienced palates.
Honestly expected something wilder from Envínate and volcanic Tenerife, but got something calm yet incredibly beautiful instead. Still too young - the acidity is kind of aggressive and it doesn't yet show the depth its potential promises - but watching it unfold over the evening is a joy. There's a Burgundian transparency here: ethereal, fine-grained, with that aromatic lift. But the volcanic minerality and the old-vine Negramoll give it a character that's entirely its own. Delicate and gentle, yet immediately approachable. One to revisit with a few years of bottle age.
