The tannins feel unbalanced and somewhat unfriendly, making the overall experience less than inviting. The complexity here skews negatively, with VA and aggressive tannins almost staging a coup on the palate. Given its current state, it's difficult to drink and leaves me uncertain if decanting or further ageing would improve the situation. A tough and somewhat discordant offering.
