Black Pinot

Black olives, thyme, black pepper, hard tannin - savoury and dark, very earthy. Long aftertaste, properly persistent. It's hard work to drink, no question, but in this glass the difficulty is the point: the wine pulls you in even as it pushes back. Of the reds tonight, the only one with something to say.
