Rară Neagră

Too young and the oak integration's off. Heavy and drying with dried fruits, ripe plum buried under a pile of vanilla and sweet spices. Almost full-bodied, structured, bit meaty with medium-plus tannins that grind away. For such a young wine, it's oddly lacking freshness and fruit. Long finish can't save it from feeling overwrought. Not my style - I prefer wines that remember they're supposed to be enjoyable. Well-crafted for those who like their wines in heavyweight division.
