Of course, this blend of two powerful varieties - Fetească Neagră and Saperavi - makes its presence felt. A wave of black and red berries, with black plum, sour cherry, black pepper, nutmeg, and vanilla. The oak influence is clear but well-handled. Full-bodied and expressive, though still far too young. Not exactly my style, but with grilled meat it hit the spot beautifully.
