This wine is a bit of a puzzle, with an edge of disappointment. It has a deep, Saperavi-like colour that catches the eye (and white T-shirt). The bouquet is shy and restrained, offering notes of Nordic berries, dark berries, and dry herbs. On the palate, it feels too stuffy and round, with a noticeable lack of fruit and freshness. Where on earth is the acidity?
