Shining is the long-elevage orange Pinot Noir that gives the cuvée its Kubrick-borrowed name. Fruit comes from the schist side of the river that crosses the Mythopia vineyard. Three-month maceration on skins, then close to a decade in 400-litre old oak with no topping up. By the time it reaches bottle the wine reads more orange than red, with sherry- and vin jaune-leaning notes layered over the original Pinot frame. 12% ABV. No SO2, no fining, no filtration.
