Número Dous is Augalevada's entry-level white, sitting below the Ollos wines in the range. The name nods to the 2014 "number two" amphora experiment that turned Iago Garrido toward flor, but today's wine is a different cuvée: a blend of Treixadura, Albariño and Godello from organically farmed grower vineyards of 25-50-year-old vines along the Arnoia, Avia and Miño rivers - the multi-valley sourcing that previously fed the Mercenario negociant line - on decomposed granite, red slate and clay-rich gneiss. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, then around 8 months in a mix of 600- and 330-litre old oak, a 500-litre bota and a 400-litre clay tinaja; unfined, unfiltered, minimal sulphur, bottled outside the DO. At 12.5% it leads with peach, apricot and lemon over a silky, gently mineral palate.
