Same direction, better point. The rigid tannins have softened and the screeching acidity resolved into proper balance - that's the main gain. Nordic berries still leading, blood and spice in the back, a touch of bitter herbs newly emerged (a win in my book for this style), and the VA reduced to a whisper rather than the borderline-volatile thing it was last time. Beautiful, and I hope it goes deeper still.
Nordic berries fighting through a wall of fermentation funk. This wine is absolutely not ready - screaming youth from nose to finish. Blood and spice try to emerge but get slapped down by rigid tannins and screeching acidity that borders on volatile. There's even a salty edge, which is actually brilliant and saves this from being a complete waiting game.
