Beautiful stuff. Starts with reduction - like gunpowder - but then it clears. Loads of yellow fruit, pears, orchard stuff, fresh bread, hazelnuts, white flowers, butter, candied citrus. That mineral reduction hangs around, which I like. Medium-bodied, fleshy, vibrant - serious weight and structure for village level. Great texture, mineral acids keep it fresh, finishes salty and long. PYCM knows what he's doing. This drinks way above its classification.
This wine offers an intriguing array of green notes, complemented by aromas of hazelnut and fried pumpkin seeds. There are hints of yellow fruits, caramel, and butter, contributing to its complexity. On the palate, it is intense, round, and bold, yet maintains a fresh profile. It is well-made and well-balanced but still quite young. The slight bitterness, with a note of green apricot, adds an interesting touch to the finish.
