What a beautiful wine. Apricot jam, pine nuts, dried mango, dried banana, and a touch of herbs - it's layered and expressive. Despite its 19 years, it still feels fresh, with great balance and an effortlessly delicious character. At last I had a chance to revisit it and I enjoyed it fully.
What a beautiful way to finish the Barbacarlo wine tasting. Notes of apricot jam, pine nuts, dried mango, dried banana, and some herbaceous hints. It's fresh (despite being 18 years old), wonderfully balanced, and simply delicious.
I need to taste it again as I fear I underrated it. Oh, and I just loved it enough to give it another try.
