Same joy as always - bright, lifted, quietly layered. Nuts, oxidised apple, white flowers, toast, lemon, with vibrant fruit alongside saline and flor-like nuances. Fresh, balanced, delicious, complex enough to hold your attention. Fun fact: I thought I was bringing the Número Dous 2023, and served blind I was genuinely confused. When the bottle was revealed, everything fell into place.
Same joy as before - bright, lifted, quietly layered. Interestingly, this vintage is less Jerez-driven and more fruit-forward, almost candy-like. The flor and saline character that defined earlier bottles takes a back seat to pure fruit this time.
Same notes as before.
Properly tight and closed right now - this needs air to unfold. Decant it if you're sharing, let that tension release and some oxidation creep in. Don't serve it too cold either. When it does open up, it's all finesse: crisp, crunchy acidity cutting through lovely lees character, fruit that's still singing (for now), and these brilliant maritime notes washing through everything. Unique stuff, genuinely.
Oh, a new release! A good excuse to revisit the earlier ones. This is just as much of a joy to drink - bright, lifted, and quietly layered. Nuts, oxidised apple, white flowers, toast, and lemon in the nose, with a palate that brings vibrant fruit alongside saline and flor-like nuances. Fresh, balanced, and delicious, yet still complex enough to hold your attention.
