Join to read it and the restThe label is a still from a Napalm Death show at Salisbury Arts Centre in 1990, pulled from Steve Payne's rushes for the Live Corruption video, and the back label promises blast beats, fast driving and stage diving, "subtle bubbles from a heavy wine". Jérôme Lefèvre presents his cuvées as a collection rather than a range, each one new, and this is the one he named for speed.
Hunger for Speed is Meunier from a single parcel, Les Chouttes on the Mont de Bonneil in the western Vallée de la Marne, the same hill that gives the house its Playing With Fire II rosé. Organic, certified by Ecocert, and made in 1,500 numbered bottles, with no dosage at all. One thing the house does not say is which harvest the base came from; a tirage on 29 August 2023 cannot hold that year's grapes, so it is 2022 or older, and the label keeps the secret.
