A delightful wine. Notes of rotten wild strawberry, red apple, roasted seeds, dogwood, wilted peonies, earth, and a touch of smoke. Fresh and mineral with firm tannins. This wine is anything but simple, and not in the best sense. It resists and scratches like a cat that doesn't want to be embraced. Yet, there is something beautiful in its notes of underbrush, graphite, and smokiness.
