Merlot

I was looking forward to tasting this 8-year-old Merlot from Et Cetera, and while it didn't disappoint, I expected a bit more. It's good and nice, but too straightforward---there's no beauty in this kind of simplicity. Typical notes, powerful body---it's just a great companion for food.
