Rkatsiteli Reserve

The Reserve is Tchotiashvili's Rkatsiteli in full amber dress: fermented and left on its skins, pips and stems for around seven months in buried qvevri, the traditional Kakhetian way. That long skin contact gives it the colour, grip and savory depth of a proper amber wine rather than a fresh white. Estate fruit from forty-year-old-plus vines at Saniore, in the Alazani Valley; organically farmed, bottled unfiltered with barely any sulphur. 'Reserve' marks it as a selected, hand-numbered lot signed off by Kakha Tchotiashvili. 13%.
