Tasted this blind and, honestly, I thought it was something from Austria. A bit embarrassing, but it is what it is.
The notes are quite similar to my previous experience, but for some reason this bottle didn't land as well. Seems like I just don't have much luck with this Rosso.
This bottle provided the best experience I've had with this label as it has a tendency for bottle variation. It offers delightful notes of light red fruits paired with earthy undertones and red flowers, creating a charmingly delicious profile. The palate is soft, subtle, and gentle. Good acidity. Although the tannins are slightly tingy, with sufficient aeration they become much more harmonious. The finish is long, highlighted by hints of smokiness. This wine requires attention and doesn't forgive any rush.
It's easy and fun to drink. Nothing overly complicated, just a pleasant, soft, and shy Nebbiolo with notes of sweet cherry compote, leather, and smoke. On the palate, it's soft and delicate. Lovely.
