SP68 Bianco

The nose promises more than the palate delivers. Yes, there's an attractive bouquet - candied fruit, caramel, acacia honey, touches of chamomile and marigold. But it's showing flat and oxidised, and the mouth falls short of expectations. Where's the acidity? This wine feels stifling, like a warm room with closed windows. It lacks the tension and freshness that would lift all those pretty aromatics. Still delicious in its way, but you keep waiting for a spark that never comes. Occhipinti can do better than this pleasant underachiever.
