The Santé family's fifth-generation Mâconnais vineyard at La Roche-Vineuse, run since the 2023 vintage in partnership with the Marseille négoce Régis & Sylvain; just over 10 ha across Saint-Véran, Mâcon and Bourgogne appellations.
Clos de Somméré is the Santé family's vineyard at La Roche-Vineuse, between Mâcon and Cluny, where the family's viticultural ties go back to 1848. Hervé and Céline Santé, fifth generation, run it, and since the 2023 vintage they have done so in partnership with the Marseille négoce Régis & Sylvain, the cousins Régis Tuccinardi and Sylvain Grosshans, under the Clos de Somméré name; the legal entity on the label is SCEV Santé et Associés, and the label carries both names. Just over 10 ha spread across five appellations, Saint-Véran, Mâcon-La Roche-Vineuse, Bourgogne Aligoté, Bourgogne Blanc and Bourgogne Rouge, on clay-limestone, with Pinot Noir and Gamay for the reds; harvest is by hand or machine depending on the parcel, and the importers describe the approach as low-intervention viticulture with respect for the terroir, some cuvées fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and the whites raised on their lees. The estate belongs to the Vignerons Indépendants. The range on the market runs to a Bourgogne Rouge Les Forêts and Aux Concises, Bourgogne Blanc Les Nongelettes and Vieilles Vignes, Aligoté Vieilles Vignes, Saint-Véran and Mâcon-La Roche-Vineuse Les Noyerets.
