Nebbiolo

A Langhe Nebbiolo from Cascina Corte's Dogliani fruit in the San Luigi hills, just west of the Barolo zone on limestone, tuff and clay. Hand-picked and fermented on native yeasts with no added enzymes, then aged around eighteen to twenty months in large oak casks and bottled unfiltered in the estate's organic, low-intervention style. The 2021 came from a cool, classic Piedmont vintage that handed Nebbiolo firm structure and bright acidity: pale garnet, sour cherry, violet and dried herbs over fine, savoury tannins, a lighter and more transparent read on the grape than Barolo.
