Sassaia

Infamous Sassaia 1997 was made under the influence of local skin contact rebels. It faced the same fate as Joško Gravner wines of the same vintage. It is incredible to taste the history and witness craftsmanship that overlives fashion.

A delicate bouquet shows age, but it's hard to believe that this wine is 25 years old. Nuts, mushrooms, popcorn, machine oil, dust, wet cellar, and spices. The salty aftertaste is long and has some evolution.

Incredible experience. The sad part here is that this wine is over the peak. I could give it a higher score, but it fades quickly.
