The last time I was kind of disappointed by this wine. Some could say 'a bottle variation, it happens more often with biodynamic wine making'. Yes, that makes sense, but my bet is on my perception variation. So I took one more bottle. And it was good! Wild strawberry, forest floor and meat notes. Almost perfectly balanced, juicy palate, long aftertaste.

Typical and young Pinot Noir from Central Otago. Wild strawberries with forest floor and jammy hints. Taste reveals that Burn Cottage plays with low intervention style, decanting levels it, so don't be afraid. Well balanced, juicy, tannin is still green. Maybe a bottle variation, but somehow it was much simpler than I remember it since my last tasting almost a year ago. Need to give it another try.
Would drink this wine every day. It fits the spot between complex and easy to enjoy wines, making it so good. Cherry, barberry, wet forest floor, meat. And a long mix of berries and wet autumn leaves in the aftertaste. Happy me.
Amazing Pinot Noir from Central Otago, New Zealand. Ripe red fruits, raw meat and underbrush. Tasty, flavourful, medium bodied. Sophisticated wine, perfect match for autumn.
