Upon first introduction, this wine can come across as a rambunctious youngster, slightly wild and perhaps a touch unruly. Demanding a moment to find its composure, it initially presented with a tinge of unpredictability. Yet, as the minutes ticked by and the wine had its chance to breathe and settle, its true character emerged. A transformation from that fleeting initial madness to an eloquent charm.
It evolves to exhibit an invigorating juiciness, much like diving into a fruit basket laden with grapefruit, blood orange, and hints of red berries such as strawberry and cranberry.
The palate is greeted with moderate tannins and a note of acetone, but this is smoothly balanced out by its light body and stellar acidity. As it lingers, a touch of salinity graces the finish, leaving a thirst for another taste.
It's a wine that, despite its initial antics, compels you to revisit and appreciate its journey in the glass.
