The wine has aged gracefully. It's clearly past its peak, but still a pleasure to drink. Moderately complex, with a refined, delicate feel. Dust, dried cherry, a hint of Marsala, old wooden drawer, and a generous mix of spices. The acidity is fading, the tannins are gentle and mature. On the palate, it's all about those shrivelled, sun-warmed cherries - soft, dried, and full of quiet charm. It might lack real depth, but it's an effortlessly pleasant drink.
