The plot once grew the Rivellas' Dolcetto. In 2017 it was replanted, and the young Nebbiolo vines now stand on the same Montestefano hill as the ones that make their Barbaresco.
For now the fruit can only be bottled as Langhe Nebbiolo. A Vinous note on the 2023 gives the reason: regulatory limits on the production of Barbaresco.
No winemaking figures are published yet for the 2024. For the 2023, the same note records 15 days on the skins and seven to eight months in cask. The Barbaresco spends 30 months or more there, by Vinous and merchant accounts.
The 2024 was bottled in 2025. Same hill, same two people, a much shorter wait.
