Oh wow, now this is a rarity - long gone from Kyiv shelves, so it was a real treat to be poured a glass while visiting friends.
A brilliant wine - bright and expressive, yet with surprising depth and plenty of character. Chamomile tea, petroleum, lemon zest, quince, damp cellar and lemon candy, with a faint touch of smoke weaving through. On the palate it's salty, slightly oxidised and a bit oily. Delicious, distinctive stuff.
