Finally, a Rieussec with proper acidity! Dried tropical fruits - pineapple, banana - meet orchard fruits in compote form. Classic Sauternes aromatics of orange blossom, beeswax, and acacia honey, with apricot marmalade adding depth. The sweetness is rich and electric, but here's the kicker: racy acidity cuts through like a knife, keeping everything fresh and alive. Caramel and vanilla from oak play supporting roles. That acid backbone transforms what could be cloying into something thrilling. Long, persistent finish that makes you reach for another sip. The best Rieussec I've had - because it finally has the structure to match its ambition.
