Bourgogne Pinot Noir

A touch smelly at first - reduction lurking - but it opens up nicely with air. Pickled gherkins, forest floor, red berries, a wisp of smoke. Good acidity and structure holding it together, with earthy fruit that stays grounded. Not particularly complex, but genuinely enjoyable. Sometimes that's enough.
