Etna Rosso Serra della Contessa

Kind of iconic wine, made from >100 years old vines from the eastern slopes of Etna. Medium garnet colour. Aromatic and complex bouquet showing development with notes of dried cherry, black olives, white pepper, forest floor and raw meat. Medium body and fresh with rather round and medium-high tannin. Well balanced, flavourful with long aftertaste. Decanting is a must, otherwise the balance is lacking. Juicy and delicious otherwise.
